Library of Congress Classification System

Clark Memorial Library uses the Library of Congress Classification System to organize most materials within its collections.

LC Classification is an alphabetic-numerical system that groups items by subject.  Users browse a specific LC call number range to find out what is available here; for instance, users seeking information on the occult may browse BF 1404-BF 1999 (Occult Sciences) to check our local holdings.  To find an LC Classification number for subjects not covered below, check Library of Congress Subject Headings or do a subject search in the Shawnee State Library Catalog.
